Lego
A Rose By Any Other Name
Over the last while, I’ve been putting together Lego sets. Family members have even been fulfilling wish lists with Lego. The Rose Bouquet is the latest set that I have completed. In addition to a bouquet of fresh roses, my lovely wife sent me this Lego set as well for Valentine’s Day.
I took a break one evening from working on the NASA Artemis Space Launch System - you can somewhat see part of the tower blurred in the background. The roses were a quick and relatively easy build. Each of the different types of rose buds seem to be in different stages of blooming from tightly held petals to looser pedaled buds. The baby’s breath is a nice touch.
The box contained six bags with two roses in each bag. There are four total of three different types of roses. Bags 1 and 2 were one type of rose, 3 and 4 another, etc. Once you went through the instructions for one rose from one bag, it was easy to do the next bag from memory. I used the Lego Builder app for the instructions rather than the paper booklets included. I ended up skipping the instructions for the second bag of the pair.
While the fresh roses will wither away, now I have a dozen red roses to keep in my office all year long!
