As a part of a promotion to get the word out about the new Z in 2001, Nissan sent out playing cards that had facts about the Z. The cards with the silver type were 'facts from the remarkable 26-year history of the Z' and the orange type had 'facts about the amazing, history-making new Z Concept.' On the back side were a few different photos from the near production-ready version of the Z Concept.
The near production-ready version of the new Z had a number of changes since the original Z-Concept models and drawings. Very similar to the 350Z that came out for the 2003 model year. Apart from the changes to the interior between these images and what actually made it off the assembly line that caught my eye was the tail lights. While the shape did not change, the production version did not have LED tail lights like what is visible in the pre-production image. We didn't get LED tail lights until the 2006 model year 350Z.
