This week, the sky has shared some phenomena of light refraction and dispersion. Earlier this week, we had a band of heavy rain come through as the sun was low in the western sky which gave us some double-arching rainbows. This morning, while drinking my morning coffee, I see a bright sun-dog out of the corner of my eye. Popped out in the back yard and there was a rather bright halo around the sun. The clouds extending off the halo gave a nice effect. They say, 'ring around the sun or moon; rain or snow are coming soon'. This time, our forecast indicates sunny and warm temps for the next several days.
As I was looking out the window folding laundry, noticed a bunny in the yard. Couple of hours later, still there basking in the sunlight.
In 2018, we took a trip to New York City and was able to see the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. Afterwards, we walked - in a torrential downpour - to a pizza window a few blocks away to have something to eat.
Last night had the pleasure of seeing the Phantom of the Opera at the Paramount in Seattle. Grateful to be able to see it again. The performance last night, however, was well done. And, yes, we did get pizza - this time before the show and there was no rain.
Took a trip to Mount Rainier last weekend. The mountain was clear when I left Skagit but the clouds hid the view by the time I was there. Glad I got there when I did. The line only took about 45-minutes to get in. There were a lot of people there. Light, though, compared to other days given the '3-hour wait from this point' signs.
